Job summary

Electrum is seeking a Senior Accountant in Jakarta to own accurate and timely accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting support, and strong internal controls.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, Tax, and external auditors to ensure reliable books and decision-ready data, mentor junior staff, and drive improvements in a fast-paced multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• High attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to manage deadlines independently.
• Professional English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and month-end closing activities.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure correct account mapping, documentation, and adherence to accounting policies.
• Reconcile bank, cash, receivables, payables, fixed assets, inventory-related balances, and intercompany accounts; investigate variances promptly.
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, audit schedules, and statutory reporting.
• Review AP/AR transactions and ensure completeness, cut-off accuracy, and proper supporting documents.
• Coordinate with Tax on tax reconciliations and filings, and with auditors on audit requests and issue resolution.
• Strengthen internal controls, identify process risks, and drive practical improvements and automation.
• Coach junior accounting team members and provide technical guidance.
