Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting & Tax Associate located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Accounting & Tax Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting and tax regulations. The role also involves preparing tax calculations and returns, managing tax compliance through Coretax, and supporting clients with various accounting and taxation matters using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records for multiple clients across various industries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns through the Coretax system.
• Calculate, reconcile, and report tax obligations, including PPh 21, PPh 22, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 25, PPh 26, and VAT (PPN).
• Prepare tax payment calculations, tax reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and Indonesian tax regulations.
• Utilize Xero and Coretax to manage accounting records and tax reporting efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Indonesian taxation regulations.
• Hands-on experience in preparing and reporting PPh 21, PPh 22, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 25, PPh 26, and VAT (PPN).
• Mandatory proficiency in Coretax.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Brevet A & B certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
