Job summary

PT THE COSTUME MAGNIFIQUE is seeking a skilled 3D modeler to create high-quality digital mascots, figurines, and sculptures based on concept art. You will prepare optimized files for 3D printing, CNC milling, or mold fabrication, and develop mechanical models to ensure production feasibility.

Collaborating with the animatronic and production teams, you’ll ensure models align with material limits, provide clean topology and correct scale, and assist with rendering and client presentations.

Qualifications

• 2. Strong proficiency in ZBrush, Blender, Autodesk Maya, AutoCAD, or 3ds Max.
• 3. Familiar with CAD-based tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino) for mechanical and structural modelling.
• 4. Understanding of the 3D printing process, including slicing, supports, and material tolerances.
• 5. Knowledge of surface preparation, mould design basics, and assembly structure is a plus.
• 6. Understanding of retopology, UV and Texturing
• 7. Knowledge of 3D Drafting, 3D printing and Rendering.
• 8. Attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and good communication skills

Responsibilities

• 1. Create high-quality 3D models for mascots, figurines, and sculptures based on concept art or design briefs.
• 2. Prepare 3D files that are optimized for 3D printing, CNC milling, or mold fabrication.
• 3. Develop mechanical and structural modeling to ensure stability and production feasibility (e.g., internal frames, joints, or mechanism movement).
• 4. Collaborate closely with the animatronic team and production team to ensure the model aligns with material limitations (ABS, PLA, PETG, TPU, etc.)
• 5. Provide clean topology and correct scale to meet technical production requirements.
• 6. Support rendering, visualization, and presentation for client approval when needed.
• 7. Revise and finalize models based on feedback from art manager or clients.
