Job summary

Hong Kong Red Cross seeks a strategic leader to head Youth Development Service at Head Office (West Kowloon). You will formulate strategic direction, lead a team of volunteers, and work with senior management to deliver humanitarian services and nurture youth leadership.

The role requires at least 5 years post-graduate experience in youth and volunteer service development, with 2 years in management. Fluency in English and Cantonese/Putonghua is expected; contract is 2 years with renewal, based

Qualifications

• Strategic-minded with vision and strong people management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with stakeholders and partners.
• Proficient written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Putonghua).
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for Deputy Manager (Youth Development Service).

Responsibilities

• Formulate the strategic direction and plans for youth development at division level.
• Lead the development, execution and enhancement of youth services with volunteers and staff.
• Coach and supervise volunteer leaders to design service plans and training for youth.
• Oversee project implementation for university students and youth activities from Head Office.
• Develop humanitarian education programs to cultivate Red Cross knowledge among youth.
• Build relationships with youth groups, schools and NGOs for collaboration.
