Job summary

MTR Corporation Limited Hong Kong is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor for EMU systems. You will lead a team to supervise scheduled overhaul and repairs of bogie, suspension, brake, pneumatic and pantograph systems, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will plan day-to-day maintenance, oversee contractor work, and ensure availability of spares, tools and equipment. A strong background in mechanical engineering and leadership is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory roles.
• Self-motivated with good analytical ability and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and lead a team to conduct scheduled overhaul and repairs on EMU bogie, suspension, brake, pneumatic and pantograph systems.
• Plan and organize day-to-day maintenance activities, supervise contractor works, ensure spares/tools/equipment availability.
• Determine corrective actions for defects identified during maintenance and provide recommendations for decision making.
• Support failure investigation and provide solutions to improve safety, reliability and performance of EMU systems.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and lead a team to conduct the scheduled overhaul and unscheduled repair maintenance activities of electric multiple unit (EMU) bogie & suspension systems, brake & pneumatic systems and pantograph systems in accordance with maintenance standards and procedures in a safe and efficient manner
• Act as an overall in-charge of the maintenance team to plan and organise day-to-day maintenance activities, implement rolling stock equipment modification and test/trial, supervise contractor’s works and ensure availability of spares, tools and equipment for the maintenance tasks
• Determine corrective actions for component defects or faults identified during overhaul maintenance and provide recommendations to facilitate decision making
• Support failure investigation and provide solutions to improve safety, reliability and performance of the responsible EMU systems

Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
• Self-motivated, with good analytical ability and interpersonal skills

Remarks

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
• Required to perform shift duties on irregular pattern of hours
