Job summary

Tokalent in Hong Kong seeks a Web3 Data / Backend Engineer to design and build next‑gen data architecture, ETL pipelines, and dashboards. You will query on-chain data, develop API endpoints, and integrate third‑party APIs for portfolio dApps, while improving automated reporting and code quality.

The role requires a STEM degree and 3+ years in ETL/data pipelines, strong SQL/Python with Pandas/NumPy, and familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js and Ethers.js.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience with ETL tools or data pipelines in production environments.
• Experience in data analytics, SQL, Python and related libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with Typescript, Node.js, Next.js and Ethers.js.
• Experience building end-user facing data dashboards and using data visualizations to aid decision making.
• Knowledge of best practices and trends in data analytics and testing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and delivering high quality next-generation data architecture tosupport business reporting and customer dashboards
• Interface with other teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety ofdata sources
• Querying onchain data using analytics applications including but not limited to DuneAnalytics and The Graph
• Developing API endpoints and integrating 3rd party APIs (e.g. Defillama, 1inch,Coingecko) for our portfolio dApps
• Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating orsimplifying our architecture
• Participating in code review and writing rigorous test cases to maintain code qualityand ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering and DevOps

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or above in a STEM field
• 3+ years of experience working with ETL tools or data pipelines in productionenvironments
