Job summary

Tokalent is seeking a Smart Contract Engineer for a Web3 venture studio in Asia. You will design, build, and deploy Solidity-based smart contracts for DeFi products, prioritizing performance and security.

Collaborate with product and design teams to ship features, perform code reviews, and write tests. Deep knowledge of gas optimization and crypto concepts is valuable in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or 2+ years for junior role.
• Shipped a product to mainnet using Solidity.
• Ability to ship code with test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Awareness of fintech and DeFi protocol engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

- Designing, building and deploying smart contracts to create high performance, lowlatency user-facing products for the portfolio companies

- Writing clean, gas optimized, and reusable smart contract and protocol code in Solidity

- Collaborating with product managers to innovate and develop user-facing featuresbased on market trends and competitive analyses

- Scoping complex features and work closely with designers and fellow engineers toexecute implementation, testing, and deployment

- Participating in code review and writing rigorous test suites to maintain code qualityand ensure adherence to best practices

Requirements

- 5+ (for senior role)/ 2+ (for junior role)years of experience in software engineering with solid, demonstrable work onGithub or otherwise

- Shipped a product to mainnet using Solidity

- Ability to ship code using test-driven development

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

- Awareness of engineering best practices for fintech products and DeFi protocols

- Problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and good judgment

Preferred

- A Bachelors or professional degree in STEM field

- Knowledge or expertise in Node.js, React/React Native, gas optimization and basicknowledge of encryption and cryptography

- Deep understanding of financial products in a web3 context

- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including engineering, design, UI,UX and QA
