Job summary

Asia Progress Executive Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced head of dealing to oversee equity trading and execution. You will lead a team, develop best execution strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance across cross-border trades.

The role requires at least 8 years in dealing or execution roles, with CFA/FRM or securities licenses preferred. Fluent English and Mandarin are essential for collaboration with international clients and partners in a fast-paced capital markets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• At least 8 years of dealing/equity trading or execution experience.
• Experience leading a dealing desk or trading team.
• Strong knowledge of equity markets and execution strategies.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin; CFA/FRM or licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the dealing function for timely, compliant client and proprietary trades.
• Manage daily trading activities across markets: order execution, allocation, and post-trade processes.
• Develop execution strategies to achieve best execution and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Institutional Sales, Research, PM, Ops, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Maintain relationships with institutions, brokers, banks, and exchanges.
• Coach the dealing team; establish trading controls and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support system enhancements to trading workflows and execution infrastructure.
• Review performance metrics and implement improvements.
