Job summary

Asia Progress Executive Limited, a top-tier asset management firm in Hong Kong, seeks an experienced Asset Management Trader to execute trades across equities, bonds, funds and derivatives, aligning with portfolios’ strategies and cost objectives.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years of trading execution experience (REPO a must), strong knowledge of trading systems, and excellent communication in English and Chinese to support risk, operations and investment teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of trading execution experience in asset management; REPO experience required.
• Fluency in English and Chinese; knowledge of securities market rules and trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across equities, bonds, funds, derivatives, REPO exp and other securities accurately and efficiently based on portfolio managers’ instructions.
• Monitor market liquidity, price movements, and trading opportunities, providing real-time market updates and execution insights to the investment team.
• Manage the end-to-end trading process, including price inquiry, negotiation, trade confirmation, settlement tracking, and trade recordkeeping.
• Maintain and expand relationships with brokers, banks, trading platforms, and other counterparties to optimize execution channels and terms.
• Adhere strictly to risk control and compliance policies, ensuring all trading activities meet regulatory and internal governance standards.
• Assist in transaction cost analysis (TCA), execution algorithm evaluation, and daily operation and enhancement of trading systems.
• Participate in the preparation of trading-related reports and support daily communication and coordination among risk, operations, and investment teams.
