The individual will be expected to hit the ground running within a fast‑growing and strategically important area of the business. The team is highly professional, agile, and deeply client‑focused, requiring a candidate who can immediately add value through leadership, execution expertise and client engagement.

The role is expected to lead the Hong Kong trading desk, manage a team of three traders and take ownership of day‑to‑day execution responsibilities. This transition will enable greater senior focus on strategic initiatives, making this a critical hire with both operational and leadership impact.

  • Trade across multiple liquidity channels including dark, high‑touch, and program trading.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Client Advisory & Execution Consulting

  • Provide proactive, tailored trading colour and execution advice based on client objectives, market conditions, and algorithmic strategy performance.
  • Conduct execution consulting, advising clients on strategy selection and real‑time adjustments during trading.
  • Deliver pre‑ and post‑trade guidance, including optimal usage of Liquidnet products.
  • Interpret TCA outputs and translate insights into actionable improvements for clients.

Market Expertise & Intelligence

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Asian market structure, regulation, and liquidity dynamics.
  • Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and product developments; provide internal feedback to enhance Liquidnet’s offering.
  • Collate and disseminate relevant market news, research, and trading insights to drive client engagement and flow.

Internal Collaboration & Platform Optimisation

  • Liaise across Relationship Managers, clients, members, and Trade Support to ensure seamless execution.
  • Work closely with DMA and EMS providers to enhance platform functionality and execution performance.
  • Contribute to platform evolution through feedback on client needs and execution trends.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Produce and deliver daily or weekly TCA reports for clients or work with the Execution Consultancy team on more in‑depth reviews.
  • Use analytics to identify performance trends and opportunities for optimisation.

Salesforce & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain and update Salesforce CRM with accurate client notes, interactions, and opportunities.
  • Track and develop client workflows with a view to increasing order flow and engagement.
  • Work with the team to manage the HK desk performance and client engagement.
