Job summary

BOCI, a leading investment bank in China and Hong Kong, seeks an experienced Commodities Sales professional to originate and execute hedging transactions for global clients. You will lead a high-performance, global sales team and drive client activities across refining, physical trading, and derivatives hedging, while coordinating with compliance and risk teams to ensure smooth execution.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in commodities sales, strong leadership, and fluent Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commodities sales at a bank or securities firm.
• Candidates with over 2 years of full-time experience in Hong Kong or overseas are a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership of high-performance teams.
• Strong senior-level client relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute commodity hedging and risk-management transactions for global clients.
• Lead and motivate a global commodities sales team to achieve budgets and maintain ethical performance.
• Manage client activities across refining, physical trading, derivatives hedging and investments.
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, risk and IT to ensure smooth client execution and system upgrades.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Lead and motivate a global commodities sales team to achieve team and individual budget, maintain an ethical performance culture;
• Manage client activities across refining, physical trading, derivatives hedging and investment solutions; use market intelligence to update sales plans;
• Collaborate with compliance, operation, risk and IT department to ensure smooth client execution and system upgrades;
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Skills & Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in Commodities Sales role at an investment bank or securities firm, relevant experience in other asset class can be considered with proven track record;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Demonstrated leadership of high-performance teams;
• Strong senior-level client relationship management skill;
• Extensive client network with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English.
