Job summary

Chong Hing Bank Limited seeks a senior professional to supervise the Loan Documentation and Loan Administration teams across retail, corporate, and syndicated loans in Hong Kong.

You will coordinate with internal units and external solicitors to resolve complex credit structures and ensure the end-to-end loan process complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in checker or supervisory capacity.
• Hands-on experience in verifying intricate corporate loan documents and end-to-end loan administration (drawdown, rollover, collateral maintenance).
• Solid understanding of banking laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
• Familiarity with non-standard loan agreements; knowledge of SWIFT, CCRA, CRA, T24 is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-department collaboration skills.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Head in supervising the Loan Documentation and Loan Administration teams, covering retail, corporate, and syndicated loans.
• Coordinate closely with internal parties (including Business Units, Legal, and Credit Approvers) and external parties (such as solicitor firms) to resolve complex credit documentation structures as well as loan drawdown, maintenance, and administrative operational issues.
• Ensure all daily workflows, covering security documentation vetting and loan transaction processing, strictly comply with internal guidelines, legal and external regulatory requirements.
• Review internal guidelines, operational procedures, and documentation templates in accordance with the latest market practices and regulatory updates.
• Assist the Department Head in managing, mentoring, and motivating the team members .
• Handle ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years spent in a checker or supervisory capacity, covering both loan documentation and administration operations.
• Possess solid, hands-on experience in verifying intricate corporate loan documents and managing end-to-end loan administration processes (including drawdown, rollover, and collateral maintenance).
• Good understanding of relevant banking laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
• Familiarity with checking non-standard loan agreements; knowledge of relevant systems (e.g. SWIFT, CCRA, CRA, T24) is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across different departments.
