Job summary

China Pacific Insurance Co., (H.K.) Limited is seeking an Underwriter with 3-5 years in General Insurance to assist daily underwriting tasks, maintain operations, and update underwriting guidelines. You will collaborate across departments to ensure customer requests are resolved and portfolio profitability is monitored.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong English/Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of solid experience in General Insurance.
• ACII/ ANZIIF (Snr Assoc). Fellow of ACII or ANZIIF is preferred.
• Well organized, able to work ahead of deadlines.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriting teams in daily pre-bind and post-bind underwriting tasks for General Insurance products.
• Assist to maintain daily operation of Underwriting Team.
• Assist to update the Underwriting Guideline effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer requests are properly handled and resolved.
• Revenue and profitability responsibilities for assigned portfolio.
• Closely monitor the quality and profitability of portfolio.
• Provide professional advice to all relevant departments with underwriting authority.
• Identify, manage and mitigate operational risks in day-to-day operations.

Assist the underwriting teams in performing daily pre-bind and post-bind underwriting tasks for General Insurance products in compliance with company guidelines

Assist to maintain daily operation of Underwriting Team

Assist to update the Underwriting Guideline effectively and efficiently

Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer’s requests to be properly handled and resolved in order to maintain customer satisfaction level

Revenue and profitablility responsibilty for asigned portfolio

Closely monitor the quality and profitablility of portfolio

Provide professional advise to all relevant departments with the underwriting authority assigned

Identify, manage and mitigate operational risks in the day-to-day operations

II. Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field

3-5 years of solid experience in General Insurance

Possession of ACII/ ANZIIF (Snr Assoc). Fellow of ACII or ANZIIF is preferred
