Job summary

A prestigious insurance firm in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Underwriter/Assistant Underwriter to join their Financial Line or Marine Line team. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, and possess strong analytical and communication skills in English and Chinese. This role offers a competitive salary range of HKD 60,000 - HKD 68,000 per month, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative environment focused on underwriting, particularly in Directors & Officers Liability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of underwriting experience, preferably in P&C insurance.
• Ability to assess risks and make data-driven decisions.
• Candidater will less experience may be considered for Assistant Underwriter position.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and assess risks for Financial Lines / Marine Lines with focus on D&O Liability.
• Analyze submissions, determine risk acceptability, and negotiate terms.
• Cultivate strong relationships with brokers to attract profitable business.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Support portfolio growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.

What requirements you'll need to be eligible

2+ years of underwriting experience(experience inP&C insurance is a plus).
