Job summary

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a financial services client to recruit a UI/UX Designer. You will turn visions into simple, on-brand designs and work with Product Owner, Business and IT to ensure the project achieves its objectives.

You will drive the design process, maintain design specs, and present concepts clearly. Collaboration with researchers, adherence to accessibility, and strong portfolio are essential in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UI/UX design experience.
• Translate complex requirements into elegant UI/UX solutions.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.
• Open to feedback and critique.
• Passionate about UI/UX and design innovation.
• Proficient in Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Flinto, Zeplin.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Relationship management with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong online portfolio available.

Responsibilities

• Turn visions into concepts and translate into designs that illustrate simplicity over complexity.
• Define screen designs, design guidelines, and design specs using industry standards.
• Ensure UI/UX and visual design communicates clearly, remains on brand, and delights users.
• Partner with Product Owner, Business, and IT to meet project objectives.
• Manage the design process, drive decisions, and ensure specs are implemented.
• Present design work clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Support Design Researchers with participatory and iterative design techniques and usability studies.
• Monitor industry trends to align product strategy with market developments.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
• Contribute to flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries.
• Improve interaction and interface within an Accessibility framework.
• Promote User Centered Design principles within banking.
