Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Product Designer in Hong Kong to drive user-centered design across web and mobile products. You will lead discovery, journey mapping, wireframes, prototypes, and final visuals, partnering with Product and Engineering to deliver engaging experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Product/UX/UI design, a strong portfolio, and experience building scalable design systems. Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI Design.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and successful product delivery.
• Proven end-to-end ownership from concept to post-launch refinements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Prototyping, and Design Systems.
• Experience establishing scalable design frameworks and component libraries.
• Ability to leverage user insights and business metrics to inform design decisions.
• Exposure to AI-powered design tools and integrating them into workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bilingual English and Chinese communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the user experience and interface design process across digital products, covering discovery, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design.
• Translate customer insights, commercial objectives, and operational requirements into intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
• Produce highQuality interface designs for web and mobile platforms, ensuring usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and consistency.
• Contribute to the development and governance of shared design standards, reusable UI patterns, and scalable design frameworks.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define solutions that align with customer expectations and organizational priorities.
• Present design concepts effectively, articulate decision-making rationale, and address feedback with practical recommendations.
• Utilize research findings, customer feedback, and performance data to identify enhancement opportunities and improve user outcomes.
• Prepare detailed design documentation and work closely with development teams to ensure successful execution of approved designs.
• Explore AI-enabled tools to enhance ideation, content creation, prototyping, and workflow optimization.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing strong user-centred design methodologies, visual communication capabilities, and successful product delivery experience.
• Proven track record of independently carrying design initiatives from concept development through implementation and post‑launch refinement.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex requirements into seamless user experiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Prototyping, and Design Systems.
• Experience establishing, maintaining, or enhancing scalable design frameworks and component libraries.
• Ability to leverage user insights, behavioural data, and business metrics to inform design decisions.
• Practical exposure to AI‑powered design tools and proven ability to integrate them into professional product design workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the confidence to influence decision‑making across teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
