Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Manager, Transformation to translate business pain points into practical, technology-enabled improvements. You will work with business units, Procurement, Finance and IT to deliver automation, AI use cases and data analytics that boost efficiency and P&L impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in business transformation, process improvement, digital or technology consulting, or procurement / supply chain transformation.
• Consulting experience with exposure to operations, procurement, finance or digital transformation projects is preferred. Good understanding of procurement processes is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with process automation, AI tools, workflow tools or data analytics. Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), RPA, Microsoft Copilot or similar is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a proactive and curious mindset and comfort working in a changing environment.
• Excellent presentation, reporting and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with senior management and non-technical users.
• Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with ERP or procurement systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and prioritise opportunities to transform business operation and central functions through automation, AI and digital tools across end-to-end process, such as source-to-pay process.
• Build business cases for each initiative, covering current-state pain points, expected benefits, effort, cost, risk and success measures, and recommend priorities to management.
• Lead or support end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives, from problem definition, process mapping and solution design through pilot, rollout and benefits tracking.
• Design and deliver process automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate, RPA, workflow tools) to reduce manual work, cut cycle time and strengthen controls.
• Explore and pilot AI use cases in procurement, such as generative AI assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot), document and quotation extraction, spend classification, supplier and market intelligence, and contract clause review.
• Drive change management and user adoption through stakeholder engagement, training materials, user guides, communication and adoption tracking, so new tools and ways of working stick.
• Prepare clear, high-quality presentations, progress reports and management updates for senior leadership, steering committees and business units.
• Keep up with emerging technology, digital practices and AI developments, and share ideas that could keep business and central functions competitive.
