Job summary

Menrva in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Linux-based engineer to provide production and application support for critical trading and risk systems across asset classes.

This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration with global teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and incident resolution under fast-moving markets. You will develop scripts, monitor environments, and maintain documentation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux-based environments with strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for front and middle office trading systems, resolving platform and trade-related issues independently or in collaboration with global support and engineering teams.
• Communicate effectively with trading and execution teams on system incidents, resolutions, and infrastructure updates.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure smooth deployment, configuration, and testing of trading platforms.
• Support and monitor internal trading environments to maintain platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate globally with other engineers to ensure consistent support coverage and knowledge sharing.
• Enhance and automate environment management tools to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Develop and maintain scripts and utilities to streamline repetitive processes and improve production reliability.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge bases for troubleshooting and operational procedures.
• Participate in software and version release activities with development and infrastructure teams.
