Role Overview

The Senior Trading Systems Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the stability, performance, and availability of mission-critical trading platforms. Working closely with traders, operations teams, exchanges, and external vendors, the successful candidate will provide advanced support, drive automation initiatives, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and support business continuity testing across trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support trading systems before, during, and after market hours.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and incident management for complex production issues.
• Support order management, execution management, and trading infrastructure platforms.
• Maintain exchange connectivity, market data services, FIX connectivity, and third-party integrations.
• Partner with trading, operations, risk, and technology teams to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and enhance automation tools, monitoring solutions, and operational processes.
• Support system upgrades, release management, testing, and production changes.
• Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and exchange testing exercises.
• Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and support runbooks.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience supporting trading systems within financial markets environments.
• Strong understanding of securities, futures, and derivatives trading workflows.
• Experience supporting trading applications, trading infrastructure, or electronic trading platforms.
• Knowledge of market connectivity, FIX protocol, and market data environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Solid SQL skills for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting for automation.
