ConnectedGroup Limited is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Business Technology Engineer to provide hands-on trading support across front-office users, trading applications, and workplace infrastructure in a fast-paced investment environment.

The role covers Windows desktops/laptops, Azure AD, M365, VDI, and collaboration platforms, with exposure to Bloomberg, FactSet, and Reuters/Eikon. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

4-8 years in IT infrastructure, end-user computing, desktop support, workplace technology, or trading support environments.
Strong experience with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365.
Strong understanding of Windows desktop and laptop environments.
Experience supporting Cloud PC, virtual desktop, or VDI technologies.
Proven troubleshooting across hardware, software, applications, networking, and cloud-based services.
Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and support providers.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support senior stakeholders in a demanding environment.
Ability to operate independently in a lean team structure.

Responsabilités

Provide high-touch technology support to portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, and other investment professionals.
Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day technology issues impacting front-office users.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to trading applications, market data platforms, desktop environments, connectivity, and peripherals.
Minimise business disruption by delivering timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders and maintain a strong understanding of business workflows and technology requirements.
Support and administer Windows desktops, laptops, cloud PCs, and end-user computing technologies.
Manage Microsoft 365 services, including identity and access management, collaboration tools, and productivity platforms.
Administer Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud workspace solutions, and remote access technologies.
Maintain desktop standards, endpoint security controls, and device lifecycle management processes.
Support trading, research, and investment-related platforms used by the business.
Assist with Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv/Eikon, OMS, EMS, and related market-facing technologies where applicable.
Troubleshoot technology issues affecting order execution, market data access, and investment workflows.
Coordinate with external vendors and application providers to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
Assist with onboarding new trading and investment technologies.
Act as a key liaison between the firm and external technology vendors, managed service providers, and software providers.
Coordinate escalations, service requests, maintenance activities, and technology upgrades.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure service levels meet business expectations.
Support software licensing, subscription management, and technology asset tracking.
Identify opportunities to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and infrastructure stability.
Participate in technology projects, including upgrades, migrations, deployments, and platform enhancements.
Contribute to infrastructure and workplace technology initiatives that support business growth.
Maintain operational documentation and technology standards.
