Qualifications

• 2–8 years of middle-office or trade support experience.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end trade flows and settlement cycles.
• Ability to manage risk, respond to exceptions, and communicate with global counterparties.
• Willingness to work across shifts to support 24-hour coverage.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Post-trade clearance, matching, clearing, and settlement for institutional trades.
• Execute middle office operations, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
• Identify and resolve trade breaks and settlement failures with traders, brokers, and custodians.
• Coordinate with global counterparties; manage handovers for 24-hour operations.

This is a dynamic, shift-based position built for a collaborative team player who possesses a deep understanding of trade flows and institutional settlement. You will be tasked with mitigating risk, managing complex counterparty relationships, and driving absolute operational precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Trade Clearance & Settlement Oversee the daily matching, allocation, clearing, and settlement of institutional trades across global markets, ensuring total alignment between internal records and external clearing entities.
• Middle Office Operations Execute daily transaction lifecycles, lifecycle events, cash/position reconciliations, and regulatory reporting, acting as the primary line of defense against operational and settlement risk.
• Break & Exception Management Identify, investigate, and resolve trade breaks, discrepancy alerts, and settlement failures by collaborating with traders, brokers, and custodian banks.
• Cross-Border Coordination Interface with global counterparties, brokers, and clearers; manage shift-specific market handovers seamlessly to maintain 24-hour operational continuity.
• Workflow Optimization Proactively analyze trade processing workflows to identify inefficiencies, automate manual steps, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What We Are Looking For

• Proven FI Background 2 to 8 years of solid middle-office or trade support experience within a Financial Institution, trading firm, or brokerage.
• Technical Settlement Expertise A comprehensive grasp of end-to-end trade flows, processing systems, and international settlement cycles.
• Thrives Under Pressure Proven ability to maintain extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and clear thinking while operating in a fast-paced environment with tight market cutoff times.
• Adaptable & Shift-Ready Flexibility to work on varying shift patterns to support active trading hours across different regional time zones.
• Bilingual Capability Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin is mandatory to communicate with global and regional counterparties; ability to speak Cantonese is highly advantageous.
