Job summary

BBVA is seeking a motivated FX/Interest Rate Trader in Hong Kong to join the Global Macro Trading Team. The candidate should have 2+ years of FX/Rates trading experience with market making exposure, and a plus for electronic market making.

Strong collaboration with global peers and sales is required to develop trading ideas and manage risk. The role involves pricing, risk management, and staying ahead of market developments, with opportunities to expand the team’s electronic market-making

Qualifications

• BS degree in Science, Engineering or Business.
• 2+ years of FX/Rates trading experience with market making.
• Experience in electronic market making is a plus.
• Good understanding of local Banking and Global Markets regulations.

Responsibilities

• Price and risk manage positions and collaborate globally on risk in IR trading books.
• Develop projects like electronic market making with the team.
• Collaborate with Sales to maintain client relationships and generate trading ideas.
• Stay updated on Interest Rate market trends and developments.

Job Purpose & Objectives

We are seeking a motivated FX/Interest Rate Trader, with Experience in FX / Rates Trading market making to join our Global Macro Trading Team. The ideal candidate will have over 2y of experience in interest rates or FX Trading on G10 or Asia currencies. This role will play a key part in supporting and expanding our growing Global Macro trading Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Price and Risk manage the positions associated with the activity and work closely with the rest of the team Globally in the risk management of the rest of the IR trading books

• Work with the rest of the team in developing projects such as Electronic market making

• Work closely with Sales Teams on Maintaining Client Relationships and producing Trading Ideas

• Keep updated on Interest Rate Market trends and developments

• Identify and capitalize on trading opportunities and trends

Qualifications & Experience

• BS Degree holder in Science, Engineering or Business

• 2y+ years of experience in FX / Rates Trading with relevant market making experience

• Experience in electronic market making will be a plus

• Good understanding of local Banking and Global Markets regulations
