Job summary

ALL-STAR AGENCY in Hong Kong is seeking a Manager – Import & Export Trade Operations to lead a dedicated trade operations team responsible for end-to-end processing of import and export transactions, including documentary credits, collections, trade loans and bills processing.

This role is suited to an experienced trade finance operations leader with strong technical knowledge, people-management capability and an interest in improving controls, efficiency and digital processes within a corporate

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of all-round experience in trade finance, bills or documentary operations within a banking environment.
• At least 5 years of supervisory, team-lead or managerial experience leading a trade finance operations function.
• Strong knowledge of import and export trade products, including documentary L/Cs, collections, trade loans, bills processing and related settlement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily Import & Export Trade Operations team, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient processing in line with agreed service standards and SLAs.
• Oversee end-to-end processing of import and export trade products, including L/Cs, documentary collections, trade loans, bills handling, amendments, settlements and related documentation.
• Coach, develop and motivate team members through training, knowledge transfer and performance management to strengthen productivity, technical capability and service quality.
• Review exceptions, complex transactions and escalated cases, working with Front Office, Compliance, AML, Legal, Credit and other relevant stakeholders as required.
• Ensure operations comply with internal policies, AML, CTF, sanctions, operational-risk requirements, regulatory standards and applicable documentary trade rules.
• Drive process improvement, digitisation and trade-finance system enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering, UAT, implementation support and post-rollout review.
