Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services APAC in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with 10+ years in software testing and at least 5 years in a lead role. You will design and optimize performance testing using BlazeMeter, integrate tests into CI/CD, and guide a team of testers across projects.

Lead AI-assisted tooling adoption, build scalable automation frameworks, and collaborate with Azure DevOps, development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality in fast-paced releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, execute, and optimize performance testing solutions using BlazeMeter and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test-script creation and maintenance.
• Develop scalable UI/API automation frameworks and integrate tests into Jenkins/Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and alignment with project timelines and priorities.
• Troubleshoot complex environments, pipelines, and performance issues; document findings clearly.

Required Technical Skill Set

BlazeMeter performance testing; Jenkins CI/CD; Azure and Azure DevOps; GitHub Copilot; UI/API automation; continuous testing and quality gates

Desired Experience Range

10+ years in software testing/QA, including at least 5 years in a technical or lead role

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• Hands-on BlazeMeter performance testing, including script creation, test configuration, monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
• Jenkins pipeline creation, configuration, and maintenance, with automated unit, integration, UI/API, and performance tests. Experience integrating automated tests (unit, integration, UI/API, performance) into CI/CD
• Practical Azure and Azure DevOps experience covering boards, repos, pipelines, test plans, and testing cloud-hosted applications.
• Use of GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools to support test automation and technical tasks.
• Strong UI and API test automation experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or Postman.
• DevOps, continuous testing, shift-left, quality gates, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder communication, analytical problem solving, and willingness to support critical releases when required.

Good-to-Have

• Insurance or financial services domain experience, including policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, or customer portals.
• Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Application Insights exposure from performance and reliability perspectives.
• Exposure to AI initiatives, model testing, data quality testing, or AI-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM, or similar test-management and defect-tracking tools.
• Coding skills in Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or another relevant testing/QA certification.
• Cantonese language capability.

• Design, configure, execute, and optimize performance testing solutions using BlazeMeter, including scenario design, scripts, environments, analysis, and recommendations.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable flows, automated regression, and quality gates.
• Lead adoption of GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools to accelerate test-script creation, refactoring, productivity, and consistency.
• Design, maintain, and evolve scalable, maintainable, well‑documented UI, API, and integration automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with Azure platform, development, and DevOps teams to align environments, embed testing in CI/CD, and promote shift‑left quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring, review scripts and frameworks, and standardize tools and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex environment, pipeline, framework, and performance issues, driving root‑cause resolution and clear technical documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and QA leads to align technical testing activities with project timelines and priorities.
