Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned QA lead to oversee testing across multiple technology and digital initiatives. You will define test strategies, review requirements, and lead end-to-end validation including SIT and UAT, while collaborating with PMs, BAs, developers, and stakeholders to ensure release readiness.

The role emphasizes governance, continuous improvement, and test automation advocacy to raise quality across Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Test Management, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA governance, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale projects in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and DevOps environments.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, UAT, and release testing practices.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Python and experience supporting AI-related initiatives would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the quality lead across multiple technology and digital initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and release criteria.
• Review business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and technical documentation to identify test scenarios, risks, and coverage gaps.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test execution schedules aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression, and production validation, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to resolve defects, manage testing risks, and drive issue resolution.
• Monitor, track, and report testing progress, quality metrics, defects, and release readiness to project stakeholders and management.
• Provide QA advisory and governance support to internal and external testing teams, promoting best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, standards, methodologies, and quality controls across Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps environments.
• Support test automation initiatives and advocate for quality engineering practices to enhance efficiency, test coverage, and delivery quality.
• Contribute to the evolution of Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) standards, quality frameworks, and enterprise testing practices.
