Job summary

HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College seeks a Temporary Assistant Counsellor to guide and counsel students, run developmental programmes, and assist Mainland or Non-Chinese Speaking students. The role supports new projects and requires capacity to handle multiple tasks.

The appointment is temporary for about seven months (Oct 2026–Apr 2027) with remuneration commensurate to qualifications and experience. Applications review starts promptly and continues until 4 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Counselling is required.
• Membership eligibility for relevant professional bodies is expected.
• Good interpersonal skills and bilingual abilities (English/Chinese) are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and individual counselling services to students.
• Organise, implement and evaluate student developmental programmes for student adjustment and prepared for further study and employment.
• Support Mainland or Non-Chinese Speaking students; contribute to new projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Counselling
