Job summary

Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) seeks a Temporary Assistant Counsellor to provide individual counselling and guidance to students at the Student Development Resource Centre. The appointee will organise and evaluate developmental programmes to help students adjust to College and prepare for further study and employment.

The role also involves supporting Chinese Mainland and Non-Chinese Speaking students, contributing to new projects, and performing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling or related discipline.
At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in personal or career counselling to youth, organising youth activities and developmental programmes.
Eligibility for membership of relevant professional bodies.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua fluency is an advantage.
Good AI literacy and computer proficiency.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and individual counselling services to students.
Organise, implement and evaluate student developmental programmes to facilitate students’ adjustment to College and preparation for further study and employment.
Provide service and support to Chinese Mainland or Non-Chinese Speaking students.
Contribute to the implementation of new projects.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
