Job summary

CLP Power Hong Kong is seeking a maintenance professional to join the BPPS/Maintenance/GBG Turbine team in Tuen Mun. You will work with multi-disciplinary groups to maintain turbine and associated heavy machinery, ensuring safe, compliant operation and cost control.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, fault diagnosis, documentation, and ongoing improvements to maintenance practices to boost asset performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education as above with required experience.
• Higher Diploma/Certificate with 2+ years relevant experience OR Ordinary Certificate with 4+ years relevant experience.
• Solid experience in maintenance of turbine, turbine auxiliary equipment or other heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and up to the required engineering standard.
• Monitor activities to ensure schedule, design, codes of practice and budget compliance.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment faults and arrange spare parts.
• Prepare, review and update maintenance documentation or reports.
• Recommend changes to maintenance practices to improve efficiency, safety, asset performance and cost effectiveness.
• Provide on-the-job technical supervision to frontline workers and contractors.
• Ensure safe working practices and completion to satisfaction.

Department: BPPS/Maintenance/GBG Turbine Work location: Tuen Mun Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area. Major duties include:

• Ensure that maintenance work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and up to the required engineering standard.
• Monitor the assigned activities to ensure that they are conducted according to schedule, design, relevant codes of practice and within budget.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment fault and defects with equipment spares arrangement.
• Prepare, review and update documentation or reports of work.
• Recommend changes and innovative idea on maintenance practices to improve work efficiency, safety standards, asset performance and cost effectiveness.
• Provide on-the-job technical supervision and guidance to frontline workers and contractors.
• Ensure safe working practices and works are completed to satisfaction.

Requirements

• A Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Engineering or related discipline plus 2 years' relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical, Engineering or related discipline plus 4 years' relevant experience.
• Solid experience in maintenance of Turbine, Turbine Auxiliary equipment or other heavy machinery equipment.
• Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances and possess good safety awareness.
• Experience in inventory control and material management would be an advantage.
• General computer skills in Windows and Office.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
