Job summary

Egis is seeking a senior mechanical, electrical and building services leader in Hong Kong to oversee project delivery, quality control and budget management for large-scale infrastructure and building projects.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, engage clients and regulators, and drive sustainable practices while developing new business opportunities across HK/China markets. Fluency in Cantonese/English preferred; Mandarin an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Degree and post graduate degree in mechanical, electrical and/or building services engineering.
  • Professional membership to one or more of MHKIE, MIMechE, MIET, MCIBSE.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project delivery, quality of work and technical review.
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings.
  • Build and develop a solid and successful group of professionals.
  • Manage internal costs and budgets.
  • Responsible for business tendering and commercial negotiations.
  • Liaise with Client team in relation to project progress, decisions and changes.
  • Actively address issues as raised by the clients; and
  • Seek for business opportunities and risk reduction proactively
  • Maintain a high-level networking activity with private, private and institutional stakeholders
  • Seek for business opportunities and risk reduction proactively and maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
  • Ensure that that Sustainability, Environment and Quality are the responsibility of all employees
  • Demonstrate effective innovation leadership at all times to enhance the organisation’s commitment to sustainable performance
  • Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce. This includes effective staff leadership, performance management by setting objectives and driving appraisals and communication
  • Drive strategies for recruitment and retention of key personnel to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing talented workforce

Qualifications
  • Degree and post graduate degree in mechanical, electrical and/or building services engineering
  • Professional membership to one or more of the following: MHKIE, MIMechE, MIET, MCIBSE
  • Proven post-chartered experience including experience in managing a team
  • Experience in infrastructure and building projects
  • Proven technical design capabilities in MEP division
  • Track record of delivering large scale HK/China assignments
  • Excellent understanding of HK construction regulation and legislation
  • Experience in design, construction supervision and project management and familiar with the government submission procedures and quasi-government submission procedures (MTRC, Airport Authority)
  • Proficient in Cantonese & English, Mandarin will be an advantage.
  • Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and clients.
  • Work effectively across a diverse multicultural multilingual community
  • Interactive client presentations, commercial road shows, speaking at conferences and events to promote Egis’s services
