Job summary

Asian European Engineering Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Engineer or Senior Engineer specializing in Building Services/MEP Engineering to join our Wong Chuk Hang team. This full-time role covers the complete project lifecycle from MEP design to delivery on luxury retail and F&B projects for prestigious international clients.

We require 3–8 years of experience for Engineers and 8+ years for Senior Engineers, with degrees in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Building Services Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience in MEP design (Senior Engineer: 8+ years).
• Experience in high-end retail/hospitality fitout projects.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience on mainland China and Southeast Asia projects.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

• Design, specify and oversee the delivery of MEP installation for high-end projects
• Conduct detailed calculations and analysis to ensure MEP systems comply with building regulations and industry standards
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation using BIM and CAD software
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders for integrated MEP design delivery
• Carry out site inspections and quality checks to verify installation meets design specifications
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely delivery

About the role

AEE is seeking an experienced Engineer or Senior Engineer specialised in Building Services / MEP Engineering to join our growing team in Hong Kong. This is a full-time position based in Wong Chuk Hang, offering an exciting and unique opportunity to contribute to our luxury retail and F&B projects with the highly prestigious international clients.

In this role, you will take on a strategic position within our Building Services Engineering division, working on the full project lifecycle from MEP systems design to project delivery. Whether you join us as an Engineer or Senior Engineer will depend on your level of experience.

We are looking for an MEP Engineer with 3-8 years of experience in an engineering consultant environment.

Preferred degree: Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Previous experience with luxury retail, hospitality or F&B is required.

Key responsibilities

• Design, specify and oversee the delivery of MEP installation for high-end projects
• Conduct detailed calculations and analysis to ensure MEP systems comply with building regulations and industry standards
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation using industry-standard BIM and CAD software
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure integrated MEP design delivery and full coordination
• Carry out site inspections and quality checks to verify installation work meets design specifications and standards
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the installation and commissioning phases of projects
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

What we're looking for

Required Skills

• A degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in MEP design and building services engineering (or equivalent for Senior Engineer roles with 8+ years' experience)
• Experience in high-end retail/hospitality fitout projects.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience working on building projects from concept through to completion, including design, tendering and commissioning phases
• Experience in projects in mainland China and Southeast Asia.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills in liaising with clients and project team members.
• ExcellentEnglish, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Recommended Skills (optional but will be a plus)

• Knowledge in ELV / ICT / Security Systems Design.
• Knowledge of green building rating systems such as LEED / BEAM Plus.
• Overseas work experience.Customer-oriented and proactive mindset.
• Good and effective communication and presentation skills.
