Job summary

CloudAlpha Capital Management Limited is seeking a Talent Acquisition/Business Development lead to own end-to-end recruitment across research, trading, operations, and tech.

This role requires proactive sourcing, strong APAC/US network, and ability to build long-term pipelines in a fast-paced hedge fund environment. You will partner with senior management, conduct robust interviews, and guide offers with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Design and execute robust interview processes with quantitative and qualitative components.
• Use structured assessments, case studies, and technical tests appropriate for different roles.
• Conduct regular competitor mapping and compensation benchmarking across global hedge funds and banks.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on offer structures.
• Proficient in Mandarin/Cantonese and English.
• 5-15 years of talent acquisition/business development experience in hedge funds/asset management/financial services.
• Strong network in APAC and US regions is a plus.
• Proven track record of placing candidates in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

We are a leading hedge fund manager headquartered in HK with regional presence and investing in global technology. Our track records have been among the top-tier in the past 12 years. Due to expansion, we are now hiring a Talent Acquisition/ Business Development (title depends on experience/qualification) to take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across our vaiours functions in order to develop our business. This is NOT a generalist HR role. We need someone who operates with a proactive hunting mentality and understands that talent is the single biggest source of alpha and operational resilience for us.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for both research (analyst, PM) and infrastructure (trading, operations, compliance, investor relations, tech, etc.) roles;
• Proactively build talent pipelines through direct sourcing, headhunters, networking, and targeted events;
• Partner closely with senior management to understand strategic hiring needs and develop long-term talent pipelines; and
• Partner with external search firms where needed, but maintain strong internal ownership of shortlists and candidate experience.

Candidate assessment

• Design and execute robust interview processes with both quantitative and qualitative components; and
• Use structured assessments, case studies, and technical tests appropriate for different roles.
• Conduct regular competitor mapping and compensation benchmarking across global and local hedge funds, prop. desks, and investment banks; and
• Provide data-driven recommendations on offer structures.
• Proficient in both Mandarin/Cantonese and English;
• 5 - 15 years of talent acquisition/ business development related experience, specifically with hedge funds, asset management or premier financial services;
• Deep understanding of the competitive talent landscape for financial professionals. A strong network in the APAC and US region is a plus;
• Proven track record of placing different levels of candidates, while operating in a fast-pace and challenging environment is a plus; and
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
