Job summary

Qualifications

• Certifications like CISSP/CISM/Security+ or Azure security certifications preferred

Systems Security Engineer - International School

A well-established international school in Hong Kong with a technology-focused learning environment. They are looking for a System Security Engineer to manage core Microsoft systems while supporting information security governance, compliance and cybersecurity operations.

Your role:

Administer and support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure and related cloud services

Manage and maintain identity and access management, endpoint protection, email security and other core IT security platforms

Provide operational support for user accounts, device management, system configuration and cloud security across the school environment

Review and maintain information security controls, policies and processes in line with audit requirements and industry standards

Coordinate security audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews and remediation activities with internal and external stakeholders

Work with the SOC and technology teams on threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management and security investigations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related disciplines

Around 5 years’ experience in systems administration, information security, cybersecurity operations or related IT roles

Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Azure environments

Solid understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, email security and cloud security

Experience with Microsoft Defender, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms and security monitoring tools

Knowledge of security governance, audit, risk assessment, vulnerability management and incident response

CISSP, CISM, Security+, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300 or equivalent certification is highly preferred

Familiarity with macOS, iPadOS and Apple device management solutions is an advantage

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work with users, vendors, auditors, SOC and technology teams
