Job summary

IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Security Engineer to join the security team of a leading financial services firm. The role focuses on hands-on security engineering, project delivery, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.

You will lead POC and evaluations, deploy and manage security tools, ensure compliance with security standards, and contribute to data, application, database, and web security initiatives. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS, Engineering, or Information Security.
• Experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or Security Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in data, application, database, or web security.
• Experience with POC, testing, deployment or evaluation of security solutions.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.

IT Security Engineer

Location: Hong Kong

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join the IT Security team of a leading financial services firm in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and lead IT Security engineering initiatives and projects.
• Conduct POC, testing and evaluation of IT Security solutions and technologies.
• Support the implementation, deployment and ongoing management of security tools.
• Work with IT teams, business stakeholders and vendors to deliver security initiatives.
• Support security-related initiatives across areas such as data security, application security, database security, application control and other relevant security domains.
• Provide BAU support to users and assist with IT Security-related operational activities.
• Establish and maintain appropriate processes for the deployment, usage and governance of IT Security tools.
• Participate in new IT Security initiatives and support emerging security technologies.
• Assist with troubleshooting, technical analysis and problem-solving related to security solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, Information Security or Security Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in at least one relevant security domain, such as Data Security, Application Security, Database Security, Application Control, Web Security or related areas.
• Experience with POC, testing, implementation, deployment or technical evaluation of security solutions.
• Good understanding of Cybersecurity and IT Security concepts.
• Project management or project delivery experience is an advantage.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin (non-nego)
