Job summary

NEC Hong Kong Limited (NECHK) is seeking a System Engineer to join our IT team in Hong Kong. You will manage production support, maintenance, and reliability for Windows servers, virtualization, and network infrastructure.

The role requires a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent, 2+ years IT experience, and hands-on with VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM; knowledge of TCP/IP and Active Directory is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of IT experience post-qualification.
• Experience in ITS projects related to traffic management or incident management in HK.
• Experience with system support and maintenance services.
• Proficient in Windows Server and Active Directory; capable of on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt production support, identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Handle maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, and assess impact.
• Maintain and supervise inventory; perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
