Job summary

Our Company is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the project team. You will maintain, upgrade and manage server hardware, networks, and in-house development environment software applications. You will diagnose issues, communicate with interdisciplinary teams, and perform standby technical support including after-hours travel to customer sites.

Candidates should have experience with VMware, SAN, databases, patch management, and OS hardening. Knowledge of Windows and Red Hat preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a System Engineer/Administrator or similar role.
• Experience with VMware and SAN.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, patch management, and databases.
• Knowledge of system security, OS hardening, and backups.
• Proficient with Windows and Red Hat platforms.
• Degree/Diploma in IT or related field.

Our Company is working closely with a Prestigious Public Listed organization in Singapore. Due to our dynamic expansion in projects, we are looking for Systems Engineer to be part of the project team, who is able to maintain, upgrade and manage server system hardware and networks and in-house development environment software applications.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He/she should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Candidate must be able to perform routine rotation standby technical support to customer call and travel to customer site during silent hour (after working hours) to resolve operation issue.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a System Engineer/Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Experience and knowledge in VMware and SAN
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems), OS hardening and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (MS Windows and Red Hat preferred)
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
