Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Singapore to design, implement, and maintain advanced network infrastructure. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires extensive experience with enterprise routing/switching, network security, and cloud networking platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a senior-level role.
• Strong TCP/IP fundamentals and routing protocol knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing/switching platforms (Cisco/Juniper/Arista).
• Experience with network security, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with cloud networking and on-prem hybrid environments.
• Ability to document solutions and mentor others.
• Familiarity with ITIL, SDN, and network automation (Python/Ansible) a plus.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability while leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network architectures that support organizational growth and scalability
• Configure and optimize routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) across multiple network segments
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies
• Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools and analyze data to identify optimization opportunities
• Troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently and document solutions for future reference
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) with on-premises infrastructure
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation and configuration management systems
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers and support staff
• Conduct regular network assessments and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and security
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering or infrastructure management
• 3+ years in a senior-level network engineering role
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and network protocols
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent vendors)
• Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools and technologies
• Strong understanding of network security principles, firewall management, and VPN technologies
• Experience designing and implementing VoIP and unified communications solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work with cloud networking platforms and hybrid network environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Organized approach to project management and technical documentation
• Preferred: Experience with network automation and scripting languages (Python, Ansible)
• Preferred: Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and implementations
• Preferred: Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL)
• Preferred: Leadership experience and proven ability to mentor technical teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
