Job summary

Ambition is seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist in Hong Kong to lead end-to-end migration of applications to Alibaba Cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to set up environments, deployments, DevOps pipelines, configurations, and migration activities.

Responsibilities include assessing compatibility, maintaining secure and stable cloud operations, documenting procedures, supporting SIT/UAT, and ensuring timely delivery while meeting security and governance

Responsibilities

• Migrate applications to Alibaba Cloud and manage environments, deployments, testing, and post-migration support.
• Set up DevOps pipelines and configurations to ensure smooth migrations.
• Assess compatibility and implement changes to maintain secure, stable cloud operations.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, operations, vendor, and project teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and handover materials.
• Support SIT/UAT activities and release readiness across teams.

Job description

• Support the Tech Lead in migrating applications and related systems to Alibaba Cloud.
• Assist with application onboarding, environment setup, deployment, DevOps pipelines, configuration, and migration activities.
• Assess application compatibility and implement required configuration or code changes to ensure secure and stable cloud operations.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, operations, vendor, and project teams to deliver successful migrations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, migration runbooks, and operational handover materials.
• Support production deployment and post-migration stabilization.

Testing, Release & Governance Support (20%)

• Support SIT and UAT activities, including environment readiness, deployment coordination, issue investigation, defect resolution, and retesting.
• Assist with release readiness assessments and coordinate technical dependencies across teams.
• Support CAB and Security Tollgate processes by preparing implementation plans, risk assessments, test evidence, technical documentation, and security-related materials.

Other Responsibilities (10%)

• Ensure all deliverables comply with architecture, security, risk, change management, and operational standards.
• Provide timely updates on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management to support business objectives.
