Job summary

CLSA in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and manage cloud-based development projects, delivering scalable, secure solutions across AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud. You will collaborate with business users, platform and network teams to align cloud initiatives with CSI objectives.

The role requires 5–8 years in cloud domains, hands-on Docker/Kubernetes, and familiarity with DevOps toolchains. Mandarin is a plus; English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of cloud domain experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of cloud security principles.
• Alibaba Cloud ACP/ACE preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, project-management, client-serving, and multi-tasking skills.
• English proficiency; Mandarin desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, application teams, platform team, network team, stakeholders and vendors.
• Assess new initiatives of cloud-based development projects.
• Review configurations of AWS building blocks including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, WAF, CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
• Review configurations of Azure Networking, Microsoft Entra ID infrastructure, landing zone and other configurations.
• Design and deploy Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and cloud components with focus on security.
• Schedule, track, and monitor cloud application development projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Alibaba) to resolve issues and implement new services.
• Prepare Cloud governance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for Cloud stakeholders.
• Facilitate security assessment review of existing and new cloud applications; collaborate with application teams to embed cloud security.
• Design and deploy a multi‑cloud management strategy at CSI.

The candidate must possess strong technical and communication skills to collaborate between stakeholders and technical teams in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. The role oversees cloud development and operations, implementing multi‑cloud strategies to align cloud initiatives with CSI organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Cloud domains.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, APIs, and security principles.
• Alibaba Cloud certifications such as ACP (Alibaba Cloud Professional) or ACE (Alibaba Cloud Expert) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem‑solving, project‑management, client‑serving, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive mindset, self‑starter, result‑driven, and team player.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) is highly desirable.
