Job summary

Alibaba Cloud Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and present cloud architectures to C-level and senior stakeholders. You will translate customer requirements into practical cloud designs based on Alibaba Cloud services.

You will assist migrations of applications and databases, leverage MaaS platforms and large models, develop demos, and participate in Cloud Conference and Tech Week in Hong Kong, while staying aligned with customer needs and industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Background in IT, computer science and/or cloud computing with understanding of networking, servers, storage and enterprise apps.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in enterprise architecture design; experience abroad preferred.
• Expert in cloud architecture design; familiar with migration and virtualization for enterprise customers.
• Proficient with leading large language models and AI apps using platforms like Bailian, Claude Code, LangChain, n8n, Dify, MCP.
• Excellent writing and documentation skills for expressing cloud architectures.
• Able to work under pressure, quick learner, strategic thinker about business and tech.
• Strong communication and teamwork; professional attitude.
• Government or Public Sector experience required.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
• Alibaba Cloud certifications (ACP/ACE) or other cloud certs are a plus.
• Located in Hong Kong; willing to travel to Alibaba Cloud HQ in China.

Responsibilities

• Create and present solution architecture designs to C-level/senior personnel.
• Responsible for understanding the unique requirements of customers and partners, and provide appropriate technical cloud solutions and architecture designs based on Alibaba Cloud services.
• Provide assistance to Alibaba Cloud customers and partners in migrating their existing IT system onto Alibaba Cloud platforms. This includes providing migration technique support for both applications and databases.
• Leverage Alibaba Cloud’s MaaS platform and its suite of large models—including Qwen, Wan, and related cloud services such as GPU instances, PAI, ECS, databases—to provide solution of the feasible AI and cloud solutions to customer requirements.
• Responsible for demo development and testing Alibaba Cloud services.
• Participate in different marketing event, such as Cloud Conference, Tech Week in Hong Kong and promoting Alibaba Cloud services.

Requirements

• A background in IT, computer science and/or cloud computing with a good understanding of networking, servers, storage systems, enterprise applications and the cloud.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working and consulting on enterprise architecture design and has a strong understanding of customer needs and requirements. Experience working or studying abroad is preferred.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of cloud architecture design and familiar with architecture methodology and practice in internet based applications/websites. Must also be familiar with procedures and tools for application migration and cloud/virtualization solutions for enterprise customers.
• Proficient with leading large language models such as Qwen, Wan,Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, etc. Solid understanding of LLM technical principles and hands‑on experience developing AI applications using mainstream frameworks and tools (e.g., Alibaba Cloud Bailian, Claude Code, LangChain, n8n, Dify, MCP, Skills, etc.).
• Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. Able to create documentation that can express cloud architectures using text and diagrams.
• Able to work under high pressure, a quick learner with a passion for cloud technology. Able to think strategically about businesses, products and technical challenges.
• Good communication skills, a good team player and has professional attitude to work
• Government or Public Sector Industry experience is required.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese are required.
• Candidates with Alibaba Cloud certification (ACP or ACE) and any Cloud provider certificate will be an advantage.
• Location base in Hong Kong, able to travel to Alibaba Cloud Headquarter in China.
