Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to manage and support enterprise application platforms with a focus on Kubernetes across development, testing, and production environments.

You will deploy, configure, and maintain applications, perform platform upgrades and patches, and support migrations between Kubernetes clusters while ensuring service continuity and stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-10 years of experience in application support, platform engineering, DevOps, or system administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell scripting for automation purposes.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster migration, application deployment, upgrade, and troubleshooting activities.
• Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems and server administration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment automation practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills in a collaborative environment.
• Flexibility to provide support during maintenance windows or critical production deployments when required.
