Job summary

Vivien Chan & Co. is a Hong Kong-based corporate law practice. We are seeking an IT professional to maintain and support our IT environment, ensuring high availability and robust security for daily operations.

The role covers backups, monitoring of servers and networks, day-to-day helpdesk support, project rollout assistance, and thorough documentation. Competitive remuneration includes medical and dental insurance, bonuses, and generous annual leave for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of in-house IT working experience.
• Experience with Veeam, Nutanix, SentinelOne, and Fortinet is advantageous.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin.
• Immediately available is a definite advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular server backups, backup restoration tests, patch updates, and system upgrades to ensure high system availability.
• Daily monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the firm’s IT infrastructure, local network, firewall, and servers.
• Provide day-to-day helpdesk and technical support to end-users.
• Assist in IT project planning, rollout, or new IT environment setups.
• Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, network diagrams, system recovery procedures, and operational workflows.
• Manage IT asset tracking, hardware/software inventory updates, and vendor warranties.
• Support data security initiatives and promote cybersecurity awareness across departments.
• Undertake other ad-hoc IT assignments and emergencies as assigned by the Supervisor.
