Job summary

Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong is seeking a Supervisor to join the F&B Service team. Based at The Landmark, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring service standards and hygiene compliance. The role reports to the Senior Assistant Manager.

Ideal candidates bring relevant F&B or hotel experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to train colleagues. Cantonese and English proficiency is required; Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in F&B or hotel industry.
• Experience in restaurant or sizeable hotels is an advantage.
• Good time management, service-oriented and able to work independently.
• A team player with excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily hygiene and cleaning checks in all areas of restaurant.
• Monitor that food and beverages are delivered to guests per standards.
• Ensure tables are prepared to reservation specifications before guest arrival.
• Inform colleagues of special attention, occasions, or concerns affecting service.
• Coordinate tasting of new products and training of colleagues; manage tasting charts.
• Communicate information via regular team briefings.
• Keep track of restaurant stores inventory.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, fire procedures and HACCP.
• Assist in overall supervision and control of restaurant activities.
• Suggest improvements to improve efficiency of operations.

About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong within F&B Service Department in Hong Kong, the Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation each day and improves the standard of service. Supervisor reports to the Senior Assistant Manager.

As Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Conduct daily hygiene and cleaning checks in all areas of restaurant
• Monitor the food & beverage is delivered to guests in accordance with our standards and quality.
• To ensure that all tables are prepared to the reservation list specifications prior to guest arrival.
• To ensure that colleagues are aware of any special attention, occasions, or concerns that may affect the sections during service
• The ability to have a high level of food and beverage knowledge therefore able to discuss with guests and train colleagues including the co-ordination of tasting new products with pick-up charts.
• Communicate information via regular team briefings
• Keep track on restaurant’s stores inventory
• To be aware of and adhere to company policies and statutory requirements with regards to health and safety, sanitation, fire procedures and HACCP
• Assist in the overall supervision and control of the activities of the restaurant
• Make suggestions to improve the efficiency of the operations that will benefit our colleagues
• Perform any other duties as required by your department head from time to time.
