Job summary

China CITIC Bank International Limited is seeking an experienced analytics and risk professional to join our AML/CFT and data science initiatives in Hong Kong. You will support change programs, document progress, and analyze data to improve workflows and detect inefficiencies.

The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years in banking or data science, and strong English and Putonghua.

Qualifications

Degree in CS/IT/Engineering/Statistics/Math/Business Administration.
Minimum 10 years’ solid experience in banking or data science.
Experience in project management is advantageous.
Knowledge of financial crime compliance laws and banking operations.
HKMA ECF Fintech Core Level certificate preferred.
Proficient in English and Chinese (Putonghua).

Responsibilities

Support change management initiatives and track milestones.
Document project progress and elevate risks or delays.
Engage in process optimization, collect, and analyze data for AML/CFT/fraud workflow reviews, monitor false positives, and highlight inefficiencies.
Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to develop innovative solutions for optimizing customer segmentation, scenario tuning, and automating regression testing.
Assist in model validation, review and tuning of AML/CFT TM systems for the bank, overseas branches, and HK branch.
Support vendor solution assessments by compiling evaluation criteria and documenting outcomes.
Maintain records of reviews of vendor solutions.
Assist in regulatory support and coordinate with regulators, auditors, and consultants to gather documentation and track outstanding issues.
Organize logistics for training sessions on analytics tools and new processes.
Compile feedback for continuous improvement.
Prepare reports for senior management dashboards and reports on project progress, risk summaries, and benefit realization.
Oversee incident management by developing policies, coordinating responses, and improving processes.
Propose, design, develop and implement strategic analytics solutions for emerging risks.
Assist in budgeting, collate departmental inputs, and support financial tracking with FCC/ CCG.
Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and flag variances.
