Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a Senior Risk Manager in Hong Kong to oversee the Risk Control Unit for personal banking. You will identify risk gaps, align controls across channels, and drive process improvements leveraging data and new technologies.

The role requires strong communication in English and Putonghua, plus extensive experience in banking risk management and regulatory compliance. A competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder or above in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Laws, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications in ECF- Operational Risk Management, ACAMS/CGSS, ACCA/CPA preferred.
• 8 years of experience or more in risk management in banking; minimum 5 years of team management preferred.
• Sound understanding of local/mainland regulatory requirements and SEA region practices.
• Familiar with banking product management, omni-channel operations, and process re-engineering.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Putonghua) with excellent communication.
• Strong in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel for presentations to senior management.
• More experience will be considered as Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Risk Control Unit through regular reviews of personal banking processes and procedures to identify gaps and align risk controls across channels.
• Lead process transformation, leverage data and new technologies to enhance risk control effectiveness and resilience.
• Coordinate with departments to implement workflow risk management projects spanning operational, compliance, AML, legal and reputation risk.
• Assess regulatory requirements and align risk control measures with internal policies; propose optimization to strengthen risk management lifecycle.
• Collaborate with regional units to design and review processes ensuring regulatory compliance and standardized risk controls.
• Identify market compliance requirements, integrate feedback and data to establish key risk points and promote digitalization and regulatory tech adoption.
