Job summary

Hong Kong Job Consulting is seeking an Assistant Operational Risk Manager for a fast-growing China-based bank in Hong Kong. The role focuses on strengthening risk controls and regulatory reporting.

You will review KRIs and RCAs, monitor thematic reviews, update frameworks, prepare statutory and management reports, and liaise with regulators. A degree in accounting laws and at least 3 years in risk, audit, or internal control are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Accounting Laws or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational risk management, audit or internal control functions in the banking industry.
• Excellent knowledge of HKMA, SEC and other relevant regulations and guidelines in the banking industry.
• Proven experience in working and liaising with regulatory bodies.
• Good oral and written skills in Chinese and English.
• Excellent prioritization, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and recommend improvements from KRI and RCSA for all departments
• Monitor implementation of thematic reviews and branch visits and rectify operational deficiencies if identified
• Review and update operational risk framework, reporting systems and related policies and procedures
• Prepare statutory and management reports
• Handle queries in relevant areas and liaise with regulators
• Guide special projects or investigations related to operational or reputational risk when required
