Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited invites an experienced risk professional to join our risk management team in Hong Kong. You will lead cross-department risk control initiatives, develop actionable recommendations, and report to senior management on project progress.

The role requires strong knowledge of product and channel risk management, regulatory requirements, and the ability to operate in English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Business, Law or Risk Management.
• 6–10 years in product, channel, risk management and advisory in financial sector.
• Solid risk control experience; professional qualification preferred.
• Document review or audit process experience is a plus.
• Strong product and channel management knowledge in consumer banking.
• Knowledge of laws and local regulatory requirements; SE Asia risk experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for Operational Risk Manager.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-departmental risk control projects and coordinate with experts.
• Provide recommendations and monitor project progress to senior management.
• Conduct document reviews and gap analysis of thematic scope; review procedures and controls.
• Derive insights on compliance and audit findings; develop gap analyses and recommendations.
• Provide operational risk advice related to new services/products and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop digital journeys, re-engineer processes and system enhancements.
• Support ad hoc projects as required.
