Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead IT solution initiatives from concept through delivery and post-implementation support.

You will drive requirements, manage SDLC projects with Agile or Waterfall, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality system development and support in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT project management, preferably from the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven track record of managing SDLC projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency in banking system development and application support, with good understanding of Regtech and Fintech trends.
• Hands-on experience in Linux environments and proficiency in Java, Python and SQL is preferred.
• Strong technical and written skills to evaluate system design, prepare/review technical documents and project plans.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and schedule activities to achieve deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Work on IT solution implementation/development projects of different scales and complexities from inception to completion, and provide post implementation support.
• Understand business needs and requirements, steering the development and delivery of IT solution to fulfill the business objectives.
• Manage IT projects according to the Bank's established standards; including solution evaluation, proposal preparation, project initiation, planning, risk assessment/mitigation, reporting and documentation preparations.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to provide quality system development, maintenance and support services efficiently and effectively.
