Job summary

A Matter of Design - BCT Limited is seeking a Retail Store Manager for a temporary contract in Hong Kong. The role requires leading the store team, driving sales, and delivering high-end interior design services to customers.

You will manage client consultations, room planning and home visits while ensuring the store maintains premium presentation and achieves sales targets. The position offers a strong commission scheme and cross-location opportunities in HK.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years sales experience in retail/furniture/luxury/interior design.
• At least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Solution selling and consultative selling skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Introduce products to match customers' home and personal needs.
• Adapt to training system and uphold BCT values.
• Execute and follow up sales activities with store team.
• Train and develop Sales & Design Consultants.
• Provide interior design services including room planning and home visits.
• Achieve assigned sales budgets and objectives.
• Respond to guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain customer database and follow up on opportunities.
• Ensure store display complies with guidelines.
• Set an example and act as a role model for the team.

Job description

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is offered on a temporary contract. For the successful candidate, future employment may be considered based on performance and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Introduce products to match the customers' home & personal needs
• Adapt to our training system and deliver the BCT values
• Implement and follow up sales activities together with the store team
• Train and develop and assess Sales & Design Consultant together
• Provide the interior design service to customers, including room planning and home visits
• Achieve the assigned sales budgets, goals and objectives
• Respond guests’ enquiries promptly, efficiently, and courteously in a professional manner, ensure order follow-ups, updates or complaints are handled professionally
• Maintain database management for all past, existing and potential customers
• Ensure the store display is well maintained and executed by following the guidelines
• Set an example for your team and act as a role model

Requirements

• At least 6-8 years' sales experience in retail / furniture / lifestyle / luxury / interior design, with 2 years in manager role. The candidates with less experience will also be considered.
• Solution selling and consultative selling skills
• Passionate to achieve results and grow sales
• Ability to influence and persuade in order to achieve goals
• Good communication skills with a sense of personal presentation and grooming consistent with global lifestyle retail standards
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
