Job summary

Pirata Group in Hong Kong seeks a dynamic Sous Chef to join our Italian kitchen brigade. You will support the Head Chef as second in command, ensure your section is ready for service, and prepare dishes to the highest standards. You will also handle back-of-house duties like stock takes and staff training.

Work in a fast-paced, internationally diverse environment, with a clear path for progression and a strong guest-experience focus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Sous Chef, or 3+ years experience working in the kitchen
• Knowledge of western cuisine preferably Italian
• Fluency in English is a must, other languages are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare the kitchen for service, both people and mise en place
• Cook dishes in a timely manner up to restaurant standards
• Support colleagues when needed
• Maintain adherence to health and hygiene procedures
• Manage and control stock
• Oversee and train team members
