Job summary

meptalent is partnering with a renowned hospitality group in Hong Kong to recruit a Head Chef for their vibrant New York-Italian concept. The role oversees daily kitchen operations, staff management, and ensures high-quality dish execution for a high-volume service.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years in Italian cuisine, 3+ years as Sous Chef managing diverse teams, and a proven track record in cost control and cross-functional collaboration with FOH, marketing, and PR.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of culinary experience with a focus on Italian cuisine.
• 3+ years of Sous Chef experience managing large, diverse teams.
• Savvy in operating a high-volume kitchen (150+ covers per day).
• Experience managing costs through rostering, sourcing, inventory, and waste minimisation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in day-to-day kitchen operations, overseeing multiple stations.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a highly organised, efficient, and cost-effective manner while collaborating with the FOH team.
